A few years ago, Steve, one of My Wedding Workbook's owners, in his own inimitable way asked his girlfriend Tammy to marry him in the comfy confines of their kitchen (who said food isn't romantic). Tammy, having an accounting background and a passion for details, immediately went out and started shopping for wedding planning books and online wedding planner tools.

Although she found some good resources, none of them let her record and connect all the details in the way she wanted. So Steve, a designer and Web programmer, thought, "Hey, we could build a piece of online wedding planning software to help plan our wedding."

Luckily Tammy quickly embraced the idea of a planning tool and they dove into researching every wedding planning detail. With Tammy managing the wedding planning and Steve developing the site, they were off and running.

Skip forward 10 months and, thanks to Tammy's planning and Steve's programming prowess, they were happily celebrating with their family and friends on a beach on the island of St. John, USVI. People laughed and people cried. In other words, the wedding was a success.

But the story doesn't end here. Steve started talking to his business partner Jeff (the other owner of My Wedding Workbook) about the online wedding planner he and Tammy created. They both decided that this thing was too cool to rot away on a hard drive, dubbed it My Wedding Workbook and put it online for other couples to use. In the spirit of the generosity in which it was created (and because they like happy endings), they decided they would offer the basic wedding planning tools (now called the Base Package) for free and would continually expand their offerings based on the feedback of users like you. So as they continue to build My Wedding Workbook into one of the most useful wedding websites for engaged couples and wedding consultants, they encourage you to try out both the free and Premium tools here at My Wedding Workbook and to provide your input so they make it even better for you.

That's the My Wedding Workbook story ... tell us yours.
